Andreea Ernst-Vintila is a full-time tenured associate professor of social and environmental psychology at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne and a researcher with the Cognition, Health and Socialisation Research Center EA 4298 (France). She is also the Academic Coordinator for International Exchange for the Psychology Department at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne.


Dr. Ernst-Vintila conducts disciplinary and interdisciplinary research on the social thinking and the behaviors related to collective threats and risks such as environmental hazards, terrorism, epidemics, crises,  etc., including in corporate contexts (social and environmental corporate responsibility). The theoretical anchorage of her research is the experimental and structural approach to the Social Representations Theory, and its links with the Identity theories. Dr. Ernst-Vintila’s research is regularly published in scientific and scholarly journals.

Dr. Ernst-Vintila has a Ph.D. in Social and Environmental Psychology from the Université Paris Descartes. She received tenure at the Universite de la Mediterranee - Aix-Marseille II, and was an assistant professor of cross-cultural psychology and a research supervisor at the American University in Paris. Dr. Ernst-Vintila also lectures in the Executive MBA of HEC, the number 1 European business school.

Prior to focusing on psychology, Dr. Ernst-Vintila had trained as an organic chemistry engineer and has had a 15 years career in the private sector of international business.
